DCC is my second home and family. The place I feel I belong to. The place that gives me love, hope and all types of support. It's not only about the services that DCC provides, it's how they provide it. They provide it with love, care and passion. Doncaster is blessed by having DCC.

DCC gives you something to look forward to. It provides a sense of purpose, community and togetherness. When you're stuck in the asylum system, life becomes less and less unbearable because of DCC.

DCC - a place to welcome every asylum seeker and refugee. It is run by a group of kind volunteers who are always there to help. They offer many great things including English classes, help providing solicitors, accessing GP and health services, housing and council advice, even a cup of tea or coffee. It is an absolute honour to be part of this generous group.

When you have left a country where you have known torture and loss and you arrive in another country where you feel it all counted for nothing, DCC makes you feel you can keep going and that, somehow, your future will be better than your past.

I experienced a lot of bad things before I got to the UK. I lost family members in my country, saw people drown trying to cross the sea getting here. I felt broken. DCC is a group of kind and good people who have helped me feel I can rebuild myself and my life.

DCC are like family. They are there for you when you need a helping hand. Just sitting having a cup of coffee with them at their Thursday Quaker Meeting House sessions makes you feel normal.

The services DCC give to new arrivals and failed persons seeking asylum here in Doncaster are the besr, bar none. It shows in their dedication to help all persons seeking asylum through the road blocks they will face in the process. DCC has guided me through so much in my asylum process, which I now pay forward in my voluntary work with refugee communities.

As well as organising English classes and helping with the asylum process, DCC organises fun activities that help you feel less lonely. These can be dances, walks and visits to local places. They've made me see so many good sides to Doncaster.
